Karter Mycroft is a science fiction author writing about the ocean, anxiety, ecological collapse, science history, and the relationship between people and the natural world.
Karter is also a musician in many genres, having produced over a dozen records and scored short films, video games, and nonprofit ad campaigns.
In 2022, Karter’s first solo-dev video game, “Welcome to Los Suelos,” was released as part of the Los Suelos, CA project, a multimedia anthology benefiting marginalized laborers in California.
Aside from creative pursuits, Karter is a fisheries scientist and policy analyst whose research is published in several academic and industry journals.
Karter lives and works in Los Angeles.
